Advert description
As an educator and mentor of over 15 years, I support children and young people to catch up, get ahead and thrive through their educational journey.
Whether it's managing an overwhelming workload of homework and studying, figuring out what to revise and how, or even working in some additional learning projects to extend and consolidate learning and interests, I am here to support students to feel confident, successful and heard.
Academic mentoring can be any combination of tutorials, projects, supported learning, personal development, body doubling, conversations and more.
Together, we'll design an entirely bespoke programme to consolidate and develop skills and knowledge proficiency by enhancing and building on interests, strengths and motivators. Your programme will evolve with your child, adapting and accommodating their ever changing needs, priorities and capacities.
So that your child always feels capable and heard, without being overworked or over/under- challenged, we'll include a balance of as much or as little structure, flexibility, consistency, novelty, rigidity, time and intensity that works for you and your family.
These programmes are designed to work with your needs, budget and availability in order to be sustainable and transparent, while still getting the maximum benefits.
If you have a particular budget in mind, I can provide you with different options within your range to give you an idea of the different avenues available to you.
With monthly flat rates and various subsidies available, I can accommodate most budgets, whether that's £100 a month or £5000.
My academic mentoring programmes work well for most children and young people, though I have particular expertise, experience and/or qualifications in working with young people that are:
- home educated
- neurodivergent (ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, etc.)
- on leave from school for frequent or extended periods (whether due to illness, mental health, awaiting school place, attending competitions/events/etc., or for many other reasons)
- academically successful and in need of some challenge
- struggling to keep up with expectations
Whatever your chaos, I'm here to help.
