For over 15 years, I have tutored a wide variety of students in their homes, schools and community settings, supporting them to: increase their academic attainment; develop their social and personal skills; gain entrance to top independent schools; and learn to love and enjoy learning.

My approach is comprehensive and very much about the child as a whole. I strive for students to look forward to their schooling, no matter what their needs, and to bring out the best in my students.
Through regular bespoke tutoring, homeschooling and/or mentoring sessions, online and in person, I support students who are struggling to achieve their potential.

Every learner can benefit from a patient tutor who believes in them and will take the time to find the right method that works with their strengths and weaknesses.

With me, students learn how to learn, how to utilise the way their brain works, and how to develop the skills, techniques and habits they need. I ensure my students have balance and feel supported by using different ways of learning, from visual methods to more bespoke techniques.

I have always maintained a special interest in education, with plenty of qualifications under my belt. This has led me to specialise in learning outside classrooms – ideal for home education, young people with SEND or SEMH needs and those who just need a different way of learning than the rigid group lessons that classrooms offer.

Since starting full-time tutoring, I have become a certified member of a number of esteemed professional organisations:
• The Tutors’ Association
• National Association of Designed Safeguarding Leads (regional coordinator for West Midlands)
• National Association of Special Educational Needs
• Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health

Beyond tutoring, I also offer body-doubling, study sessions, reading groups, mock exam sessions, quizzes and plenty of extra-curricular activities.

If you’re looking to actively support your child to make the most out of their education and are willing to take an active role, we could be a good match.
