Expert Turkish Tutor with PhD in Turkish Language and 15 Years of Teaching Experience

Merhaba! (Hello!)

I am a native Turkish tutor based in London with over 12 years of experience teaching in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at one of Turkey’s top universities, and one year of experience as a Turkish Language and Literature teacher at a high school. Alongside my academic background, I have spent many years helping non-native speakers master the Turkish language.

My qualifications:

I hold a bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. in Turkish Language from three of Turkey’s top universities. A quick Google search of my name, Funda San, will lead you to my academic publications, including books and articles on Turkish studies.

As a native Turkish speaker, I’m fluent in English, Arabic, and Persian. If you know any of these languages, I can make learning Turkish easier and more enjoyable. But don’t worry—English will be enough for us to communicate effectively.

A bit more about me:

I lived in Istanbul for 20 years and have traveled to other countries for research and study. For the past three years, I’ve been living in London, where I continue my research and teach Turkish online. I currently teach online and work as an A-Level Turkish teacher at a college.
