I am someone who is cheerful, eager to expand my knowledge and is always open to criticism. My lessons are aimed at GCSE level.

I enjoy teaching and I have worked as a teaching assistant for small classroom sizes which would be great for tutoring students. Being a student in the past, I know how worrisome it is to know that exams can contain anything, despite it being very difficult to learn and remember the entire specification. From this, I will take a realistic approach to learning by helping students to understand the content, but focusing more on their application skills. This can be done by having interactive questions at the beginning of the starter excessive that prompt the students to remember the content from the previous lessons, followed by end of lesson questions from the current lesson that aim to assess their level of engagement with the material. For content rich and essay-based subjects such as history, I will help them condense the information into smaller chunks rather than huge paragraphs to allow interaction and for them to not be overwhelmed. I will allow the content to be tailored in a way that shows similarities in their current lives and the historical time periods they are living in, along with allowing relevant discussions to promote critical thinking and evaluation, which is a learning objective that students may struggle with, and the differentiation between those who perform highly in essays/exams.
