Passionate History Tutor – Inspiring & Educating Students on Their Learning Journey!

Advert description
With a strong academic background and extensive teaching experience, I bring a deep understanding of history and a passion for making the past come alive for students. I hold a Ph.D. from the University of St Andrews, where my research explored contemporary history through cinema, political movements, and cultural historiography. Additionally, I have worked as an Adjunct Professor and Research Fellow at the University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro,’ further strengthening my expertise in historical analysis, global narratives, and transnational movements. However, my engagement with history goes far beyond contemporary topics. During my B.A. and M.A. studies, I explored a broad range of historical periods, including Roman, Ancient, and Modern history. This extensive academic journey has given me a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to historical education, allowing me to adapt my teaching to students at all levels, whether they need help understanding historical events, analyzing primary sources, or preparing for exams. As a dedicated educator, I have years of experience teaching at University level, delivering courses on film history, political movements, archival research, and cultural history. My teaching philosophy is centred around engagement, critical thinking, and accessibility—I aim to make history relevant and exciting, showing students how the past shapes the world we live in today. Whether through interactive discussions, historical case studies, or multimedia resources, I ensure that students not only memorize dates and facts but also develop a deeper analytical understanding of historical processes and their impact. In addition to my university teaching, I have worked closely with students in one-on-one mentorship and tutoring roles, guiding them through complex historical topics and supporting their academic progress. My experience in mentoring, academic writing support, and curriculum development equips me with the ability to personalize my approach to meet each student’s unique learning needs. Beyond professional teaching, I genuinely enjoy working with students. Tutoring is not just an additional source of income for me—it’s an opportunity to share my love for history, inspire curiosity, and help students build confidence in their knowledge. Whether students need help preparing for exams, improving their writing skills, or
