Hello! I’m Babz, a qualified teacher from London with a passion for helping both children and adults succeed academically. With extensive experience in teaching children, I specialise in phonics, reading, writing, and mathematics, ensuring that my students build a solid foundation and confidence in their skills. I have a genuine passion for supporting children and adults through a holistic, nurturing approach. I am firm but fair, setting high expectations for all my students.

Most recently, I worked in a school that received an 'outstanding' rating from OFSTED with no next steps. During the OFSTED visit, I was observed teaching reading, maths, and an English lesson.
Each lesson I teach begins with a recap, followed by an engaging hook to prepare the children for learning. I then proceed with modelling the activity (my turn), working together with the students (our turn), and allowing them to practice independently (your turn).

In addition to my teaching background, I am also a certified hypnotherapist. This unique skill set allows me to foster a positive and relaxed learning environment, helping students overcome anxiety and enhance their focus. As a well-spoken native English speaker, I strive to make learning enjoyable and accessible for everyone.
