Advert description
I believe that learning history should be fun and engaging, through conversations, storytelling, visual learning, games, and activities.
I have over a year of experience working as a storyteller for a heritage organisation that works to inculcate awareness about heritage and to create dialogue around the preservation and conservation of heritage. I was able to develop the necessary skills to successfully present stories about history, heritage, art, and culture in dynamic ways, according to the interests of each individual.
I also completed a six-month-long Research and Production internship with the online educational platform of the renowned Museum of Art and Photography in Bengaluru, India. I have gained valuable insights on how to create entire courses and engaging learning materials in a wide variety of formats, particularly focusing on visual learning aids. This provided me with the necessary skills to cater to the needs and requirements of various first-time learners, from any age group, who may have no previous experience or exposure to the topics covered.
I am passionate about making history enjoyable and accessible to all. I want to break the misconception that history is a boring and academic discipline, by showcasing the different ways in which history can be interesting to everybody. It is just a matter of working together to find what aspect of history appeals to you. Whether you enjoy sports, science, film, or fashion, we can work together to find out more about the stories from history that relate to you.
