Advert description
I am a passionate and committed primary school teacher with over five years of hands-on experience in nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning. My approach is centred around creating a warm and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. I believe in the power of modern technology to enhance learning, and I enjoy integrating digital tools into my lessons to engage students and cater to different learning styles.
Having started my teaching career at Bevois Town Primary School, I quickly transitioned from an Early Career Teacher to a fully qualified professional, gaining a deep understanding of the National Teaching Standards and the importance of continual learning and adaptation in my lessons. My role has extended beyond teaching, as I have taken on the responsibility of overseeing the geography curriculum across the school. This has involved mentoring other teachers, ensuring curriculum consistency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
I have a solid foundation in child development, gained from my undergraduate studies in Childhood and Youth Studies, which has equipped me with the knowledge to support students with varying needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). My experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant has further enhanced my ability to develop tailored strategies that support emotional regulation and social skills, ensuring all children thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
