Advert description
I have a Master's degree in Physics, graduating in 2021, and am a current PhD researcher at Queen Mary University of London. My work is based on new materials use in solar cells and harnessing their renewable energy - making them more efficient and stable in different ways!
I enjoy talking about these subjects first and foremost so, if my knowledge so far and experiences can be of help to a student, I'm more than happy!
I enjoy teaching, and am well placed to do so: my background in maths and physics means I am comfortable teaching students in maths and sciences through early years to GCSE. Then more specifically maths and physics at A-Level. In addition, my relevant, current experience includes helping teach physics and chemistry lab modules to undergraduate students in the university, where I was recently voted to receive a best demonstrator award! To solidify this experience I also achieved AFHEA (associate fellow of the higher education academy) accreditation during my time in the University of Liverpool.
I have a calm, relaxed and patient style to teaching, avoiding spoon-feeding while not straying too far and leaving the student lost. Depending on the level of examination I adapt the approach, focusing on weak points and current topics of study at school, while bolstering that with the key exam-style questions that are crucial to their eventual success.
