Advert description
Hi, I am a passionate and friendly scientist, with 2 bachelors degrees (Physics and Electronics Engineering), 2 masters degrees (Experimental Physics and Biomedical Engineering), and an ongoing PhD in Applied Physics in MRI. I know, I'm a star.. :P
For the past 10 years of my higher education I have been teaching, mentoring and tutoring students of all levels (primary, secondary and university students), in addition to working part-time as a consultant, data analyst and researcher. I also have a brother and a sister who are 10 and 12 years younger than me, to keep me forever young, so I started my tutoring experience long time ago with their education first - that was some fine training in patience, but it also showed me I thoroughly enjoy sharing knowledge with others and helping students achieve their goals. I am a naturally empathetic person, and I love music, so it's easy for me to listen to students' problems, help them find the best solutions, and find perfect melodies to focus to or just discuss. I found that having 10-15 minutes of quality work and then short breaks over music, or simply discussing music, or just chatting, happens to be the most effective way of teaching. Together with group work we introduced at university, this approach helped me win 3 consecutive King's education awards with special mention by students for my efforts as a graduate teaching assistant at King's College London over the past 3 years, and I will always treasure each one of the cohorts and the many lessons they taught me too!
So, let's have fun and dance together to the many Science tunes around us :)
