I originally come from Greece but have been living in the UK for the past 14 years. My hobbies include playing football, travelling, and reading books. My interest for science started at a very young age and as a result, for my A levels, I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. In 2017, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and in 2019 I successfully completed my Master of Science in Forensic Biology and Toxicology with “Distinction”. During my studies, I expanded my knowledge of Chemistry, biochemistry, cellular biology, physiology, immunology, toxicology and so on.
I have experience supporting students in KS3, 4 and 5. I completed my teacher training in 2020 and tutoring is a great opportunity for me to encourage and inspire students to explore science. I have been teaching the AQA Science exam board for 4 years in both KS4 and KS5.
At the same time, I teach Greek in primary school students which has really helped me to identify various strategies of teaching. Furthermore, it has given me the chance to develop my teaching approaches in order to cover every student’s needs.
I have been tutoring for 4 years and have had the chance to tutor in various exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and OCR.
I strongly believe that every student is different and always aim to adapt the lesson to the student’s needs. I am highly enthusiastic and energetic and I look forward to share my science knowledge and inspire the next generation to learn and broaden their knowledge of science.
