Advert description
I graduated in Ancient philology, literature and history (LM-15) in Bari’s “Aldo Moro” University with the vote of 110/110 cum Laude (all exams passed with the highest marks). My interest in the humanities, cultivated since I was a child, allowed me to undertake my studies with great determination and motivation. I collaborated with Santippe newspaper and I published many articles: book reviews, articles based on my triennial thesis (Linguistic comparison between Ovidian Heroides written by wives: analogies and deviations). My love for Latin language and literature inspired me to write my master thesis too: Lematic commentary on chapters-of Petronius' Satyricon: Petronius' creativity and reference models. Working on my master thesis taught me to grasp the complexity of a Latin text: through the essential tools of textual analysis, I’ve learned to investigate the semantic nuances of Latin terms, the originality of syntactic constructions and, above all, the strategies for the recovery of the reference models. After graduating in philology, I really want to share my knowledge and convey the passion for Classic literature and language through teaching. Studying the past educates to transmission: now my role is to transmit what I learnt and let my future pupils appreciate the beauty of classic word, as I did when I was younger. Although I have no experience in teaching, I have good interpersonal skills: I’m talkative and able to relate to others. Working closely with the kids doesn’t scare me: it motivates me. It is a challenge that I’m ready to face with great enthusiasm, always guided by love for Classics. I’m curious and enterprising boy and I’m sure I can best fulfil the role of Latin and Greek Teacher in your institution: the opportunity to work abroad and try my hand at new and stimulating experience excites and motivates me so much.
