Enthusiastic and experienced Latin, Greek and Classics tutor at all levels with classroom teaching experience

I'm Tommy, and I specialise in teaching Latin, Greek, Classical Civilisation and Ancient History at all levels, as well as university and Oxbridge admissions for Classics and humanities. I have a First in Classical Languages and Literature 1A from Oxford, and I have a wealth of experience both in-classroom (at an elite independent school) and with private tuition, amounting to 350+ teaching hours in total. I have extensive experience teaching Latin language from ab initio right up to A-Level / IB standard, including OCR GCSE and A-Level set text options. I have also taught year 9 Greek and Classical Civilisation, as well as OCR GCSE Ancient History and IB Classical Greek and Roman Studies. Additionally, I have run online and in-person revision and confidence building sessions in Latin Language and set texts for a high end independent school's GCSE and A-Level classes, as well as having a variety of online private tutoring experience in Latin and Classics across different age groups. I enjoy and have good experience of mentoring and conducting mock interviews for Oxbridge Classics admissions, including the CAT language admissions test practice. I'm relaxed, good-humoured and like to encourage independent learning. It's always my aim to build students up and make them feel more confident when they leave my lessons than when they entered. And most importantly, I am incredibly passionate about the subject and enjoy instilling an enthusiasm for it in my students.
