Advert description
My teaching style is based on creating a positive environment and having an encouraging approach with all students. I think it is important for them to feel like they are improving, so I will congratulate them, regardless of the importance of their achievements. Additionally, I believe it is as important to push the students, within certain limits and when appropriate, once I have gotten to know them, their capabilities, and how they learn.
In the first lesson I will talk with the students (and/or their parents, depending on the students’ age) to get a sense of their level with the subject, how they learn best, if they are neurodivergent, and what their goals with the lessons are. Since the lessons are always tailored to each student, finding the right approach and student-teacher dynamic is usually a process.
In addition to being fluent in Spanish and English, I have a conversational level of Italian, and know basic French, German, Russian and Chinese (Mandarin).
Due to my career as an opera singer, I have taken English, Italian, French and German diction courses and have more than 6 years of experience with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), an extremely useful tool to achieve proficiency in pronunciation.
