GCSE Science Teacher (KS4 Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and A Level Chemistry and Environmental Science(KS5) Teacher

I am a qualified Science Teacher with more than 6 years teaching and 10 years tutoring experience to students aged 11-18. I've taught in a wide variety of schools to students with a range of abilities. I hold a master degree in Chemistry as well as a PGCE from Cambridge University. This training and my teaching experience has given me an excellent understanding of how students learn best, as well as the areas and question types students struggle most with.

My tutoring lessons are designed around what the student is looking for, if there are specific topics that you need help with then we will focus on those areas or we can look at the syllabus more broadly, covering all or as many of the topics as you want.

Regardless of what approach you want to take, my tutoring lessons follow a similar format where we will focus on key concepts, worked examples and how to answer exam style questions. This gives students the best possible chance to both understand the concepts and also maximise their potential in future exams.

If desired, I will also set homework questions for students to complete in their own time to reinforce the ideas we have covered in a lesson. I will mark this and then talk through any misunderstandings with students in the following lesson.
