Fashion Design, Pattern Cutting and Garment Construction - Tailoring, Technical and Couture techniques tutored

I am an apparel designer, pattern cutter and engineer with over 30 years experience in the industry and 5 years experience teaching, lecturing and instructing in Fashion design and construction. I’ll help you realise your creative fashion ideas and help to build your technical expertise.; from beginner to advanced level with tailoring, couture and technical skills a speciality.
I can help you learn to cut complex patterns and construct garments, alongside helping you turn your creative concepts into designs and garments. I'll take away any fears over technical work and can give you an excellent working knowledge of 2D and 3D design, fabrication and all manner of garment building, as well as a thorough understanding of body proportion.
My philosophy is that creativity is within you already, and that a tutor’s job is to guide you and help you to manifest your ideas.
I'm experienced in online teaching, however best results can be achieved by in-person tuition; whether you're just starting out in the industry, studying at university, already a fashion designer or just want to make clothes , I can help guide you and help you develop your skill level.
I can also visit fashion brands in-house and ‘workshop’ with a design and development team.

I'm happy to cater for private tuition, on a one-to-one basis and groups when practicable; international enquiries are welcome.
