I prefer teaching in-person; Fashion Design, Pattern Cutting, Garment Construction,Tailoring, Couture RTW, but am comfortable tutoring online where required.
I can teach from basic through to advanced level and as a tutor and experienced industry professional can instruct, guide and lecture. As a pattern cutter I teach creative pattern cutting by hand alongside proportion on the mannequin or body and grading. I teach tailoring from pattern cutting through to advanced, bespoke construction. I also teach technical design, development and pattern work for performance product including systems of utility and modularity.
Individual students and groups are welcome. I also use my industry experience to teach concept, presentation, design and development, storytelling and themes along with colour and fabrication. I can help with size spec development alongside pattern-work and preparation for an industry career. I can also guide research and heritage with traditional techniques sitting next to cutting edge, modern techniques. I can help develop skills and confidence for all levels of designer - beginner or seasoned professional - and eliminate amy fears or phobias in the technical process of apparel development
