Experienced Psychology tutor offering individualized lesson plans: General, Developmental, Abnormal, & Human Sex Psychology

I am a junior studying Clinical Psychology at the University of Central Florida. I have had the privilege of offering student support in Psychology at Valencia College for the past two years and would like to diversify my experience with individuals of varying backgrounds, cultures, and learning styles. I have mastered supplemental learning in the areas of General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Human Sexuality/Human Sexual Behavior, Psychopathology, and Research Methods in Psychology. I have a strong hold on these subjects through experience as a CARE Coach (tutoring and connecting students to academic/non-academic resources to ensure college success) at Valencia College and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Central Florida.
I cater to students holistically, making sure that they have all their basic needs met first. A person cannot be expected to thrive when they have to worry about when they'll eat or where they'll sleep. A sense of security is imperative to ensure stable growth.
My typical study style is with games, often Kahoots. I have several albums of quiz games which I have already created, and I am happy to make copies to accommodate individual strengths and study habits. I care immensely about public health, especially mental health. As a student myself, I identify deeply with students. There is a sense of solidarity when working with students. We are all going through test anxiety, Imposter's Syndrome, uncertainty, highs, and lows. I am learning from peers every single day and carry these lessons on to the broader community.
In addition to tutoring in Psychology, I am well-versed regarding essential components of a successful scholarship application. After multiple experiences reviewing and scoring scholarship applications for the Valencia Foundation and acquiring 6-figures in scholarships of my own, I love sharing my insights with students! Every time a student shares with me that I inspired them to get into Honors (free tuition) or helped them receive enough funds scholarships to graduate debt-free, it fills my whole heart and spirit.
