I cater to students holistically, making sure that they have all their basic needs met first. A person cannot be expected to thrive when they have to worry about when they'll eat or where they'll sleep. A sense of security is imperative to ensure stable growth.
My typical study style is with games, often Kahoot games. I have several albums of quiz games which I have already created, and I am happy to make copies to accommodate individual strengths and study habits. I care immensely about public health, especially mental health. As a student myself, I identify deeply with and relate to students,
I have a diverse collection of lesson plans depending on the age demographic I am working with and the content I am teaching. I have lecture-style presentations, engaging workshops, quiz games, annotating sessions, and am constantly learning from students and expanding on my teaching tool kit. In addition to academic goals, I enjoy working with student to improve planning and time-management skill. Keeping up with a routine/schedule will eliminate the stress of cramming for exams and rushing through responsibilities.
I take a compassionate approach and deeply believe that every person has limitless potential and the ability to thrive. We will set short-term, mid-term, and long-term educational/life goals and work through them one at a time. I tend to be very hands-on, checking in on my students to make sure the material is all comprehensive to them. I am happy to clarify or elaborate upon any topics where extra support is needed.
