Advert description
I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford (2006) in Philosophy and French and a Masters degree in Film Studies from the University of Edinburgh (2007).
I have over a decade of experience as a classroom teacher and Head of Department in Philosophy and Religious Studies, as well as experience teaching A Level Sociology, and French (GCSE). I have tutored students for several years in both Philosophy and Religious Studies.
I currently work as a tutor and Higher Education Coordinator and can provide additional services to support students' university applications.
I am happy to travel to students' homes within a half hour commute, or I am available for online tuition.
My lessons are fun, engaging and tailored to the needs of particular students. I aim to make complex and abstract complex understandable through the use of concrete examples and real world application. I also work with students to improve their ability to express ideas clearly and formulate logical and coherent arguments and chains of reasoning.
I offer a free 15 minute online consultation with prospective students to discuss their needs and arrange a tuition plan.
My rate is £30/hour either in person or online.
