ESL Teacher looking to help learners to sharpen up their English skills

I have a Bachelors degree in BA Popular music and a CELTA qualification. I have been an ESL teacher since 2020 . Since then I have taught young learners , teenagers and adults.
My teacher's philosophy is about patience and encouragement. I always try to encourage learners to find out unfamiliar parts of the English language for themselves rather than simply telling them the answer.
In a typical class I use as much realia as I can and I even set small amounts of homework. In my classes I will always get the students to speak to each other about the current exercise and encourage use of translators for lower level learners and English dictionaries for higher level learners. With regards to homework , I encourage learners to seek help when doing it. Whether that's to do with finding someone they know outside of class who speaks English or creating a social media chat group to discuss the current home work so they can pool their ideas together and work on their homework as a group rather than individually .
