Having spent time as a classroom teacher of Classics, I really value the added personalisation which private tuition allows. I like to tailor my lessons to the exact needs of the student, so my materials can change depending on the areas which need addressing. I like to know what stage my students are at in their learning so that I can pitch my lessons appropriately at all times. I like to use quick starter tasks, usually recapping content from previous lessons, before introducing and practising new concepts, adapting to the needs of the student throughout the lesson. I am just the right amount of old school when it comes to learning the fundamentals, and it is always my aim to build students up and make them feel more confident when they leave my lessons than when they entered. Most importantly, I am incredibly passionate about the subject and enjoy instilling passion for it in my students.
