Advert description
With over a decade of experience as a university lecturer and researcher, I specialize in teaching Photography, Film and Audiovisual Studies, and Contemporary Art through an interdisciplinary approach. I designed and led courses, such as Film Aesthetics and Cinematic Voices at Arts University Bournemouth, that integrate technical skills with critical theory, helping students connect practical competencies with deeper cultural and philosophical questions. My skill set includes proficiency in film and photography techniques, visual analysis, and a strong focus on guiding students in research and critical thinking, especially on contemporary topics like digital media’s impact on society and sensorial ethnographic film.
My teaching emphasizes one-on-one mentorship and customized support, fostering each student's unique artistic voice while honing their analytical abilities and technical expertise. Through private tutoring and university-level mentorship, I provide tailored guidance on portfolio development, creative problem-solving, and navigating complex ideas. My background in public speaking and collaborative workshop facilitation enhances my ability to communicate intricate concepts in an engaging, accessible way, making me well-suited to inspire and support students in their creative, academic, and professional journeys.
