CELTA qualified native English speaking ESL teacher with over 3 years experience teaching adults and children with varying levels

I am a CELTA qualified native English speaking ESL teacher (International House, London) with over 3 years teaching experience.

I have a British accent and grew up in London, United Kingdom.

I am currently based in Bali, Indonesia where I teach English online to adults with varying abilities ranging from beginner to intermediate. Areas covered include IELTS speaking preparation, grammar, reading and listening and also conversational English for different environments such as business, workplace or travel. I have also previously volunteered as an English Language teacher to Ukrainian students who have been affected by the ongoing war, something which I greatly enjoyed.

I have also had previous online teaching experience in teaching groups of adults with different abilities (up to 8 students per class both beginner and intermediate level) ; this included creating specialised lesson plans to suit their needs and setting homework on a weekly basis. As well as this, I completed a one month ‘Young Learner’ course at International House London, which focused on the needs of young learners and the key skills used to teach them.

Teaching is something I am strongly passionate about, and I believe in bringing out the best in each one of my students and helping them reach their full potential, whilst providing a safe and reliable environment.

I am a highly self motivated science graduate from The University of Nottingham (BSc Hons) with excellent communication skills and am a great team player. I have the ability to work in high pressure and fast paced environments and am able to adapt accordingly. I am enthusiastic and committed to providing the best possible learning experience for students and helping them progress.

It would be an honour to be able to impart my knowledge of the English language and teach students helping them reach their goals.
