Cambridge English Graduate providing tutoring in English and other humanities subjects to students of all ages and abilities

I have a double first-class English degree from Cambridge University, and am currently studying for a Master's in Philosophy at KCL. I have tutored intermittently since I was 16, and I have substantial experience tutoring children of all ages and abilities in English, History, and Sociology at pre-GCSE level and A-Level, as well as helping students with University Application preparation including Oxbridge Interview preparation and Personal Statement writing.

In my experience tutoring, I have developed an excellent ability to meet students at their level and tailor my lessons to their particular needs and learning styles. I think it is incredibly important not only to teach students what they need to excel at examinations, but also to help them to develop study skills that can help them across all subjects and help them to find a real love for learning. As such, my lessons tend to involve both a focus on the curriculum, with a focus on breaking down difficult concepts, and a broader focus on skills of essay-writing and argumentation, so as to empower students within and beyond the classroom.
