I teach lessons both one-to-one and in small groups, to students of all ages and abilities. I think it is particularly important to meet students at their level and find the learning style that best works for them, and then tailor my lessons to allow them to break down and understand difficult concepts and ideas, as well as gaining a broad overview of the subject and how each topic fits in with what they already know. I like to vary the content of my lessons, for instance, focusing in one lesson on learning content and understanding bigger ideas, and in the next on addressing an exam-style question and helping them to understand the best way to translate the content that they have learned into an excellent exam-style answer. In emphasising the importance of writing and argumentation, I hope to give students a skill set that they can take with them and apply to a broad range of subjects, empowering them as learners beyond their next set of exams. In addition, I love working with students to develop study skills that they can take away with them, helping them to maximise their potential.

I have substantial experience tutoring in English, History, and Sociology, and Philosophy at both A-Level and GCSE. In addition, I have experience helping students through the (often intimidating) University Admissions process, particularly with Oxbridge Interview Preparation. I am excited to work with students of all ages and abilities, and help them truly excel.
