I am an autistic social worker and former NHS manager. I have over twenty years' experience as a Practice Educator and trainer

I have over twenty years of experience teaching social work to undergraduate and postgraduate students on placement. I try to encourage self-directed learning through problem-solving and reflection, using a variety of media. I can offer coaching for students on Health and Social Care and related courses. I am a qualified Non-Medical Helper (Coach) for FE students who are autistic or who have ADHD or mental health issues.

I also offer bespoke corporate training in neurodiversity and leadership skills, ranging from short introductory sessions to a full day. The training looks at the psychosocial issues underpinning neurodivergence with a focus on inclusivity. Also on offer is an overview of management for professionals new to the role, e.g. new team leaders, looking at the traditional management theorists (Maslow, Herzberg, Handy, Adair, McGregor, Durkheim, Weber) and more recent approaches including collaborative and servant leadership styles. I am a member of the Institute of Leadership and of the Association for Business Psychology.
