I can provide training in neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, specific learning disabilities) for educationalists, health and care professionals, corporate managers, and HR professionals, ranging from a 90-minute overview to a full day. Typically it would involve a presentation interspersed with group activities, quizzes, case studies, and discussions. I try to tailor the sessions to meet the interests of the group. My focus is on psychosocial, strengths-based models of disability and inclusion.

I also provide mentoring/coaching for neurodivergent young people (10+) and adults, with an emphasis on organization, study skills, and well-being. I use a problem-solving approach, helping you to identify your strengths and to work out strategies that work for you. You already have a lot of skills ... I will help you to think smarter. This means helping you to understand your learning styles and finding ways of working that will work for you ... maybe mind-mapping or the use of software, or just using a diary and to-do list. We can look at organization skills and "life hacks" in general.

I can also offer subject-specific support for students studying NVQ Health and Social Care or similar courses (14+) and am also available as a long-arm practice teacher (e.g. for Open University Social Work students who need to negotiate their own placements. I will provide professional supervision if your placement does not have a qualified practice educator on staff.
