All that school never gave your child and you: the wonders of Classical Learning from a Harvard-trained LifeCoach/AcademicMentor.

Advert description
Children, at different stages in their development, and to varying degrees, seek to grasp who they are and the nature of the world in which they find themselves, primarily through play and lived experience; we know that there is a gap between institutionalised learning and this vital, primary drive. The role of a life coach is to help the child reconcile these two poles of their existence by showing them how to create the opportunities and build the tools to bridge that gap. Occurring most often in silence, that drive is actually a continuous dialogue occurring through the senses and the body, the emotions, verbally with others and intellectually. Life coaching should, and used to be embedded in the child’s environment, but because that drive is not given real expression, when it does reveal itself as it must, it does so in crisis and conflict. There are ways to turn even challenging experiences into opportunities of self-discovery and growth. Knowing there is someone on their side, dedicated to listening to them with knowledge and experience is half the battle of winning the child over to their own cause; the other half is introducing them to the magic of shaping their own destiny with the materials at hand, themselves, both alone and with others. I mentor based on scientific developmental approaches and teach the core Liberal Arts & Science . We will build together your perfect Individual Growth Plan and apply slow learning to the trivium/quadrivium, the plastic arts, drama, athletics, college prep or remedial or IB curricula for a balanced comprehensive program. Harvard, Oxbridge, Eaton, Bradfield, Andover all base their success on the sound classical education I learned and teach my students young or adult. My personal and professional experiences as an educator, entrepreneur and director taught me that life coaching is first and foremost a very real relationship. For youth still in their formative years, it's about helping them touch and strengthen their heart, find their path and rise through the world. For adults the need is to bring back again that child. Life coaching emerged as my path because I am a good listener. Be it for school or career, it's all about dialogue structuring real-life issues and personal challenge. Life coaching children is a family affair involving both the child and the parent: it is about growing up, and growing down.
