WHY CHOOSE ME AS A TUTOR:
• My students have a high success rate of achieving at least 1 grade higher than their predicted grades
• Lessons are tailored to the individual student and their goals. In our first lesson skills are tested and goals are set. These are adjusted when needed
• As a qualified teacher my lessons will be of high quality. I have been trained to plan meticulous lessons that are motivating, engaging and use a range of assessment tools to assess student’s abilities and progress
• In my personal opinion where I have seen students fall short is not in their knowledge, but in their ability to answer the exam questions how the EXAMINER wants. For this reason, I focus on more than just the content. My lessons have a big emphasis on:
o Building the student’s confidence
o Making sure students understand the mark scheme in depth from an examiners perspective so that they know how to best answer a question
o Building skills required to get those top grades such as:
- counterarguing
- writing skills designed to be read by examiners
- using key terminology
- addressing common misconceptions
- application skills
- evaluation skills
- understanding command words.
• I will create resources and a scheme of work centred about the individual student so that students and parents can keep track of their learning journey
• Parents are kept in the loop and I welcome phone calls every 5 lessons to update you on your child’s progress (no charge)

REQUIREMENTS:
 Students will be given homework as a way for me to measure their progress
