11+ 13+, GCSE, A-Level English, History, and Politics. Oxford University English language and literature graduate

I have been a private tutor for the last 5 years, specialising in tutoring 11+, 13+ GCSE and A-Level. I studied English Language and Literature as an Undergraduate at the University of Oxford. Before this I was an academic scholar at Dulwich College and a recipient of the English Literature Prize. I have helped students:

- Rise on average 2 grades English Literature and History GCSEs.

- Pass Dulwich College and Shrewsbury admissions tests, with the former achieving a Scholarship (2021 Graduate).

- Achieve 9s in GCSE and A-Level English Literature (2020 intake).

- Rise from an average B to an average A* in A-level Politics.

- Pass ISEB entrance tests.

- Pass 11+ and 13+ verbal reasoning tests.

- Prepare for successful University of Oxford for Interviews and ELATs (English Literature Admissions Tests).

My method is exam focused. I train students with regular benchmarks and tests to ensure that they are constantly improving towards exams. I have significant experience motivating struggling students to measurably improve their grades ahead of exams.

I specialise in English Literature, Politics, and History and have taught all three up to A-Level. I also teach Verbal Reasoning, Latin, and Music up to GCSE level.

My method is all about the student's work. The student and I go through previous assignments they have completed for me or their teachers. I identify where marks can be gained and we drill these areas until we see measurable improvements.

I work with students, especially those struggling with their work, to approach academic work in a more positive light and build up their confidence.
