Advert description
I am a previous maths teacher who worked in several secondary schools in the UK. I am qualified with a QTS from the DfE. I have more than 2 years teaching in schools and FE environments and more than 1 year tutoring and coaching online. So far, I have taught 300+ students from Y7 to Y13 and 3000+ hours cumulatively.
I attended a PGCE Mathematics course at University of Oxford. Before that, I graduated from Durham University with a master's degree in Economics and Finance. I did my bachelor's in Computer Science and Mathematical Finance. I obtained A* in A-Level maths equivalent and full marks in GCSE maths equivalent test.
I am very passionate about maths teaching and I do believe it is a subject that will improve people's logic and analysing ability. During my study and my teaching of maths, I am very interested in explaining the new concepts using existing knowledge. I always try to deepen the understanding of maths and build links within the subject.
I am a very patient tutor who always support students whenever they need me. However, I will also gradually remove the scaffolding on purpose during my teaching since I know that students need to develop a decent amount of independence to get prepared for their tests or exams.
I teach UK national curriculum KS3 - KS5 maths, including GCSE and A-Level. I can speak in English, Chinese or a mixture of these two languages. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me.
