My lessons will be very student-centred.
(1) I am a tutor who would like to know my students before their first lessons. I will ask about the learning challenges for them and their future targets so that I can better help them later on.
(2) Based on (1), I will customise the learning plans for my students. I will build the new skills upon their existing knowledge and will help them to learn the subject in a structured way.
(3) I will take a routine of 'I-We-You' in each lesson. That is to say, the lesson will be designed to change from teacher-led activities to student-led tasks gradually.
(4) I am responsive, adaptive, flexible and accountable through out the whole lesson and will always support my students whenever they need me.
(5) When possible, I would like to extend my students' knowledge to build links between topics. I believe this will help them to have a deep and solid maths understanding, and will develop their reasoning and analysing abilities in the end.
