Multilingual Non-Native English Speaker with Over 9 Years in England

I am a native Romanian who learned English and French in Romania and continued to develop my English skills after moving to England. I have also studied Spanish for my GCSEs and A Levels, and I engage in self-study of French from home.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechatronics and Autonomous Systems. This background allows me to pursue a career in engineering, and I already have one year of industry experience. Additionally, my caring nature drives me towards teaching, as I have always enjoyed helping others and being involved in my community. From organizing games in the park to volunteering at an autism centre, participating in foster care settings, fundraising, and public speaking, I invest deeply in everything I undertake.

I also participated in a cultural exchange program where I engaged with 40 to 60 young people in English each week. Over the course of three weeks, I successfully completed three different programs focused on English immersion for non-native speakers, with each week featuring a new group of students.

I believe that knowing multiple languages enhances one’s ability to communicate and feel a sense of belonging in diverse settings. This belief is rooted in my own experiences as I faced challenges speaking when I first moved to the UK
