Advert description
I have an MSc in psychology (first class honours), two years experience as an assistant psychologist and three plus years teaching English as a foreign language to students from around the world.
Teaching English, studying psychology, and working as an assistant psychologist have equipped me with a diverse and valuable skill set. Teaching English to foreign students for over three years honed my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and adapt my teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and cultural backgrounds. This experience also enhanced my organizational and planning skills, as I developed and implemented structured lesson plans to facilitate effective learning.
My academic journey in psychology provided a strong foundation in psychological theories and research methodologies. Earning a First Class Honours Master's degree in Psychology from Liverpool Hope University refined my analytical and critical thinking skills, allowing me to assess and interpret psychological data accurately. This academic experience also emphasized the importance of ethical considerations and evidence-based practices in psychological work.
As an assistant psychologist in both health-related and clinical and forensic settings for two years, I gained hands-on experience in conducting psychological assessments, developing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. These roles enhanced my empathy, interpersonal skills, and ability to manage complex cases under pressure. Furthermore, working in diverse environments taught me the importance of flexibility, cultural competence, and effective communication in delivering psychological services and support.
