Advert description
I am a fully qualified teacher of science and maths and also a level 7 specialist teacher and assessor. Prior to teaching I worked in research at universities and in industry. I have lectured physics at Edinburgh University and Loughborough university. I have been in teaching for 12years and specialised in supporting students with specific learning difficulties to achieve their highest potential. We all learn in different ways and through my level 7 studies I have trained in specialist teaching techniques that are not taught in teacher training but are far more effective at supporting students to learn in their own way, using their strengths and supporting their difficulties.
I have worked in state secondary schools and all through schools teaching science, maths and being SENCO from years 3 to 13. I currently work at a school for high functioning autistic students teaching up to and including A level.
My specialisms are working with students with dyslexia (which I am also qualified to diagnose), dyscalculia and maths anxiety, ADHD, Autism and PDA.
I have been tutoring both online and face to face for the past 5 years and gain many students by recommendation. References are available on request. I am currently tutoring Foundation and Higher GCSE maths and sciences and A level maths. I have 3 sessions available after school every day-and-as well as all day Sunday from 9am. I absolutely love my job, it's the best thing in the world to be able to show students that they can and watch them grow in confidence and stature and walk out a little taller with belief in themselves.
