Advert description
I have a BA honors degree in Journalism and a 120 TEFL teaching qualification too!
My passion for languages, travel and theatre have lead me to teach in a way that allows learners from all walks of life to step into a confident version of their persona and get talking about the things that interest them as individuals!
We may look at TED talks, news articles or maybe just some simple fictional tales, either way, it is my objective that learners are using their voices as well as practicing the other important areas of language learning development for example listening, pronunciation, comprehension and writing.
As a creative person, I try to bring out the creative talents that exist in each and everyone of us, by using the imagination and letting go of inhibitions!
I have taught in any countries across the globe including Peru, Colombia, Mexico, India, Vietnam, Cambodia and mostly in Spain where I lived for the last 6 years of my life!
For those who have higher academic expectations I can prepare students to sit the Cambridge First and Advanced certificates and this is something I have several years of experience doing.
I started my teaching English as a Foreign Language journey whilst traveling as a backpacker in South America back in 2012, at the same time I started my learning journey as a Spanish language student. These two simultaneous practices have lead me to develop a deeper understanding of the problems that occur in language learning and as a result of that I have developed some interesting techniques that have been particularly useful for Spanish and other latin language speakers.
