I have Bachelor's degree in Physics and Education and have been tutoring for 6 years in different credible institutions.
I worked with New York Academy of Science, where my purpose was to assist the learners to change their challenges related to Physics into profitable businesses. I coached the students in different courses such as;
-Vector Mechanics
-Introduction to Astrophysics
-Waves and Optics
-Mechanics( Dynamics and Kinematics)
-Energy, Work and Force
-Properties of Matter
-Practical Physics I
-Thermodynamics
-Magnetism and Electricity
-Electromagnetism I
-Nuclear and High-Energy Particle Physics
-Energy and the Environment
-Optics
-Simple Harmonic Motion(Vibration and Oscillation)
Furthermore, I have taught the aforementioned subjects via online and physically in 4 schools. In my teaching process, I have been using learner centered method where the student is independent to discover his or her learning process. Besides, in my teaching process, democratic learning environment is privilaged so that I can be able to track psychomotor, and cognitive domains and other aspects which can affect the performance of the learners. I have been using different methodologies such as one one check- in, office hours with the intention of supporting slow learners to meet proficiency level. During the learning process, the online courses were split into three main stages:
1) Pre-class Assessment stage: At this stage, the learners are given the online book or article to read, by assessing their level of understanding. Here, I used 3-2-1 methods: That means, 3 stands for 3 things learned from the book, 2 stands for 2 things interesting learned from the reading and 1 stands for one question the learner is having while reading the book.
The pre-assessment stage should be graded, and this can help me to team up the students basing on their capacities.
2) In class materials is used to explain the challenges that the students will have been facing, by also using participatory approach. here, I can use group discussion, role play and other approaches which can help the learners to internalize the subject matters.
3) Homework: this is a part of assessment where I dig deep and ask the questions and problems allowing me to track if the objectives will have been achieved.
