Advert description
I have taught and written about criminal law since 1976 and the law of evidence since 1984. I am also a very experienced examiner, having set, marked and/or moderated law examinations at universities as diverse as Cambridge, Nottingham, Cork, Exeter, Aberystwyth, Anglia Ruskin and the Inns of Court School of Law.
I have also lectured on company law and on the English legal system. My publications range from a textbook on A-Level law to high specialised journal articles and monographs published by Oxford University Press. I co-author one of the two approved reference works of the criminal courts. I have a deep and wide- ranging knowledge of English criminal law and evidence law and have ample experience of teaching students who struggle as well as those aiming for the very highest grades.
Success in law examinations and coursework (or in writing a dissertation or thesis) depends as much on technique as on legal knowledge and I can assist students with both.
