I have always worked in a changing environment and have had to be innovative in my various roles and inspirational for staff to enable them to adapt and be flexible to undertake changing job roles and respond to legislative changes that occur. I believe I have excellent record of leading innovative pilot projects ie. Chef Qualification in the work placement and also at the moment the Kickstart Scheme and have been able to achieve high standards of practice and performances targets within tight time-scales and demonstrate high standards of people management. Cooking is my life and my passion, after my Diploma in Sardinia I worked as a volunteer youth worker teaching how to prepare simple but nutritional meals . I work with youth age 11-25. These are from various ethnic and religious backgrounds, my main purpose was to reach out to them and ensure them that society does care about them but they to have a responsibility in order to prove themselves. We took a holistic approach to tackling food poverty, obesity and social inequality, issues which even now affect many young people from disadvantage backgrounds in Italy and I believe in the UK. Many young people are reaching an age of independence without the simple skills to eat well on a budget. This damaging to health, well-being and financial security. Making participation easy is key, we created a relaxed and inclusive environment working in partnership with organisations that had young people in their care. At this point a discover that my true passion lies with cooking. I took a year off to travel extensively, tasting food in Italy, Spain and Mexico and in other countries. I use these opportunities to gain the experience needed to travel and cook alongside chefs who have a great amount of experience and can expand my knowledge. I took what I learned from these experience in order to run my own restaurants for a long period. Training is my first love, and I would like to take my knowledge and experience to inspire the future chefs, I believe that there is a cook in every person and I would like to help people discover the chefs in themselves.
