Passionate Medical Student providing lessons for students of all ages

Hi there! I’m Emma, a highly experienced tutor and medical student, currently doing a Masters at UCL with a Bachelor’s in Medical Sciences. I have always had a passion for teaching, tutoring Science, Psychology, English and Maths for over 7 years and helping hundreds of students excel. Alongside tutoring, I have researched in the field of neuroscience and wellbeing, taught full-time at a bilingual school in Costa Rica, created and run workshops across the UK on how to teach and annually teach undergraduate medical students as part of the curriculum. These experiences, along with running my own wellbeing charity, have helped me craft a teaching style that not only helps my students achieve to the best of their capability in their given subject, but also learn how to learn, a skill they can take with them in the field they choose to pursue. Our sessions are tailored to the way each unique student learns, and I apply evidence-based learning techniques to help with memory and active recall, so that when it comes to exams, the knowledge comes easily.

Having received offers from Imperial, Southampton and Nottingham and in the 5% of UKCAT scores, I have experience of the various interview types and the application process for different universities. Although the process may seem daunting, I will help you at every step of the way to give you the best chance of being accepted to your top choice university.
