My name is Glenda-Rose Layne, and I possess a wealth of experience and achievements in Education Facilitation, Teaching, Culture and the Arts, Culture Administration and Management, Events Management, and Community work, with an impressive track record spanning over Thirty-Five (35) years.
During my career, I have consistently delivered exceptional results and achieved success in various roles. As the former Coordinator/Director for Culture in the Tobago House of Assembly, I had the privilege of spearheading numerous innovative training programs. Through successful collaborations with various Trinidadian Government Ministries, The University of the West Indies, and international and regional Non-Governmental and Governmental organizations, I played a leading role in implementing numerous impactful training projects.
In addition to my administrative accomplishments, I also have a background as a former secondary school teacher in Theatre for the Caribbean Secondary School Examination. I proudly contributed to the Curriculum Writing Team for the Ministry Of Education National Curriculum Visual and Performing Arts, Drama, for the Secondary School Enhancement Programme (SEMP).
Currently, I am a dedicated Facilitator at the Tobago Learning Enrichment Centre in Trinidad and Tobago, where I leverage Arts for Social Transformation among Secondary School Students who are part of the Out of School Suspension program.
My academic qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Arts and Cultural Enterprise Management, a Master of Arts in Carnival Studies, a Practitioner Certificate in Theatre in Education Drama in Education, and a Professional Certificate in Events Management. Furthermore, I am currently pursuing a PhD in Cultural Studies at the University of Trinidad and Tobago.
My proven ability to achieve organizational objectives highlights my capability to make significant contributions to any team's success.
