I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a specialization in cellular, molecular, and genetics biology from Boston University. Since college I have obtained extensive experience in research in the fields of plant genetics and cancer biology. I am currently beginning my PhD in synthetic biology at Rice University, which integrates genetics with engineering. Through my professional experience at MD Anderson Cancer Center, I have mentored many high school, undergraduate, and masters level students. I like to focus on learning about biology thorough discoveries and making sure one understands and learns HOW to think, instead of memorizing WHAT to think, in regards to biology.
