We will meet through Zoom. The lessons will not be boring, I can provide lots of feedback and information that draws from my experiences in research. You will always be encouraged to ask lots of questions and together we will make sure you leave with a better understanding of the concepts, questions, topics that you are having trouble with. Throughout the years I have worked with high school students, college undergrads, and even some masters level students. Teaching is always the same. It is fun and should be engaging. I will make sure our lessons are not dull and you are not simply learning to memorize information. You don't need me for that. My aim will be to get you to understand why such concepts exists or are important to biology. Importantly, I want you to be able to leave our lessons with a sense of self-curiosity. You should feel like you understand enough to find it interesting (or not) and if so, will be capable to delve deeper on your own. I will help you with resources and methods to expand your learning. Even if you want to meet a few times or even just once to ask about something, I am more than happy to help. I am very open about my experience in science if that is something that interests you. I am willing to answer questions about career paths in science and give feedback on what it is like, what I have done, and the avenues that are available.
