Advert description
I am an LSE Economics Student. This requires an immense understanding of mathematics and has furthered my passion and expertise in the field.
Working at Mathnasium, a Maths tutoring company, has taught me memory retention techniques applicable to all ages leading me to become an effective tutor for the long-term understanding of my tutees.
I base my lessons on discovering a student's weaknesses at a fundamental level and starting by solidifying the foundation of their mathematical knowledge. Then proceed into more complicated maths for their level once the basics are concrete.
In lesson time, I take students through exam questions to learn through testing as research shows the most effective way of maximising long-term memory is through testing of knowledge at all stages of understanding.
I also have a fantastic grasp of what is effective for students with learning disabilities, as I created my academic success despite having ADHD and Dyslexia. As well as this, working at a tutoring firm for all ages and abilities has strengthened my flexibility in tutoring students with different learning needs. Including, visual learners, ADHD, dyslexia and other various forms of learning prohibitions.
My Academic Credentials for Mathematics are as follows:
- Economics Student at the LSE - One of the most respected economics schools worldwide (Ranking 7th in the world)
- A for A-Level Mathematics
- A* for Mathematics At GSCE
- A for Further Mathematics at GSCE
- Institute of Civil Engineering competition finalist
