I hope this email finds you well. My name is Kaniganti Sirisha, and I am currently working as a Crop Transformation and Genome Editing Specialist at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden, UK. With a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Osmania University and extensive research experiences at institutions such as CMBGE, ICRISAT in Hyderabad, and Corteva Agriscience in Iowa, I have acquired a strong foundation in genome editing, molecular cloning, and plant tissue culture. My doctoral research focused on the development of CRISPR/Cas9 mediated genome editing platforms specific for striga tolerance in sorghum, which has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of cutting-edge biotechnological techniques. Furthermore, my academic achievements, including qualifying in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and being awarded the Master’s scholarship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), reflect my dedication to academic excellence and research innovation. I have also actively participated in various workshops and international training programs, such as the International Hands-on Training on Genome Editing Technologies at ICRISAT and the One CGIAR Global Webinar Series on Genome Editing in Agriculture, enhancing my knowledge and skills in the field.
