My name is Giada, an Italian expatriate living in the UK for the past seven years. I hold a First-Class BSc in Forensic Science from Abertay University, where I developed a deep passion for Biology and Chemistry, earning recognition for my academic achievements. My studies allowed me to explore areas such as Genetics and Molecular Biology, and my dissertation focused on the complex roles of mRNA and miRNA, giving me valuable research experience.
I teach students aged 10 to 25+ in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and Italian, but I also help connect students with tutors for other subjects when needed. I believe in tailoring my teaching methods to suit each student's learning style, and this has been especially effective in helping students with ADHD and dyslexia achieve success in their studies.
As someone who has struggled with anxiety and perfectionism, I understand the pressure to excel, and I use that experience to offer emotional and academic support to my students. I’m here to help them not only master their coursework but also develop the resilience and confidence to thrive.
At university, I served as Class Representative for two years and participated in the Research Volunteer Scheme, where I gained hands-on research experience. I also supported new students as an Online Peer Mentor, further developing my leadership and mentoring skills.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy practicing yoga, reading, and volunteering. My goal is to inspire curiosity and a love for learning in all of my students, whether they are young children or university peers. With a strong foundation in both academic and practical settings, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.
