Geography tutor providing support to students at all levels up to and including KS5

Having taught in the UK education system for 24 years I am very experienced in teaching. I have a degree in Special Physical Geography and a PGCE in secondary Education. Having been a classroom teacher up to and including a Vice Principal/Deputy Head, I am up to date with the expectations of students in their learning.

So, why study Geography?

I have a real love of physical geography and can help students understand that the subject is all around them. Geography really is a logical subject and once you let go of the worry about 'there's so much to remember' and just see it a series of steps you will be ale to embrace the learning.

Geography is all around us and in every subject you learn, History is all about where and when. English texts are always set somewhere, even if it's fictional the writer made their descriptions from their geographical knowledge.

Bring the world to life, when you watch the news you will now where things are happening and often already have an appreciation of why.

My lessons will be thought provoking, I welcome questions as only through you exploring your ideas can you truly understand. Dialogue is important, teachers need to know what you understand, after all, 'we don't know what we don't know!'

We will build lessons around real world examples so you can truly understand the world around you and, hopefully, give you the impetus to go and experience all the world has to offer for yourself.
