Advert description
I have a strong commitment to supporting young learners facing educational barriers, I specialise in providing tutoring in maths, English and science, mentoring, and life skills coaching. My approach focuses on delivering creative, flexible alternatives to traditional education, designed to engage students in practical, meaningful ways.
I offer my services on a one-to-one basis as well as in small groups, allowing for tailored support that meets the unique needs of each child. I take great pride in using non-traditional teaching methods, including activities such as gardening, cookery, and budgeting, which not only engage students but also equip them with essential life skills.
Currently I am an independent provider, this allows me to be flexible and responsive to each child’s needs. As a foster carer, I have an enhanced DBS check and a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding, ensuring that both myself and the young person are fully protected throughout our sessions.
My approach to teaching is adaptable and supportive, as I recognise that every learner has their own unique challenges and strengths. I bring a strong understanding of individual needs, particularly in working with children and young people who may require additional support due to learning differences or personal circumstances. My goal is always to create a safe and encouraging environment where learners feel motivated and capable of overcoming obstacles.
I tend to work with children and young people who may need extra support in their academic journey. This includes those who have learning difficulties, emotional or behavioral challenges, or those who simply need a more tailored, one-on-one approach to learning. I focus on building confidence, developing key skills, and fostering a love for learning in a way that feels accessible and engaging for each student.
