My background is in architecture and urban planning (diploma and MSc).

I grew up in Germany and have lived, worked and studied in the UK for over 15 years in total (dual citizenship).

My son grew up bilingual and I have privately tutored children of families where several languages are spoken.

As a translator and proofreader for English to German and vice versa, my experience over the last four years spans projects for the EU Commission, contents in the area of market research, technical/science/academic text, bilingual children's books as well as architecture/arts/education related marketing material.
